Limestone (Carboniferous)

Carboniferous Limestone is one of the most versatile forms of rock available. It comes in many different forms making it suitable for all manner of construction and industrial uses. Mainland Aggregates Ltd specifically offer a type of limestone that is well suited to sub-base construction were good drainage is essential. The carboniferous limestone is crushed, screened and graded to create a clean aggregate free of fines ensuring that drainage systems do not become blocked. This product is particularly suitable for equestrian arena sub-bases, hard standings, paths, roadways and soakaways. This product is not to be confused with softer Oolitic Limestone which is often cheaper but unsuitable for some applications where drainage is an issue.
