Consists of: A mixture of damaged and broken bricks ranging in size from full bricks to half bricks and brick fragments. Brick Batts are a very coarse aggregate used widely in the construction and agricultural industry for haul roads, compounds, hard standing and car park bases. Brick Batts are an ideal sub-base for soft/wet areas. Ideal when topped with a layer of a smaller aggregate such as crushed concrete or road planings to create a firm level surface. Brick Batts tend to cover a much greater area per cubic metre than other aggregates due to their size. This should be considered when comparing with other aggregates as although the unit price of Brick Batts is high the cost is offset by the increased coverage achieved.

Ideal for: As a base for haul roads, hard-standings, farm tracks, gateways, wet/soft areas.
