How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Now take these figures and enter them into the quantity calculator to reveal the approximate quantity required for your job.
Remember:
1 metre is equivalent to 1000mm or 100cm
1 centimetre is equivalent to 10mm
What Is Equestrian Rubber Strip?:
Our Arena-Flex® Rubber Strip consist of 99.9% wire free rubber by weight from automotive and manufacturing industries which have been passed through a specialised granulator and then screened. The flat nature of the material helps to spread the weight of the carriage wheels better than conventional rubber chips thus helping the carriage to remain on the surface of an arena. The product is frost resistant and free draining. Unlike other equestrian rubber strips, our Arena-Flex® Rubber Strip contains very few fines due to our vigorous screening process and therefore will spread further and is much less likely to disappear into the sand. Most manufacturers do not screen their equestrian rubber strip and as a result you end up with more powders which have no benefit to an arena and only add to the weight of the load. Typically a 40m x 20m riding arena will require 20 tonnes of Arena-Flex® Rubber Strip to give the recommended 50mm layer. Please Note: This product may be slippery when wet.
