How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Now take these figures and enter them into the quantity calculator to reveal the approximate quantity required for your job.
Remember:
1 metre is equivalent to 1000mm or 100cm
1 centimetre is equivalent to 10mm
Dale Gabion Stone Consists of:
Our 50-125mm** Dale Gabion Stone is the smallest of our gabion range and is more suited to gabion projects utilising 50mm mesh instead of standard 75mm, such as when constructing planters, fences, barbeques and also for narrow baskets. The product can be used with standard 75mm mesh but the larger stone will need to be handpicked and installed at the face of the basket to prevent smaller material falling through. The product is particularly striking when wet with shades of fawn, cream, grey and buff making an appearance. See Gabion Basket Installation Video

1 x Bulk Bag will fill approx 0.6 cubic metres. Quantity used will depend on the skill of the installer. An experienced installer will use more stone than an inexperienced one.

850-900kg per bag. Gabion Stone is an unwashed product and thus may contain 5-10% fine material

Approx 1.6 tonnes per cubic metre.
