How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Our Silver Granite Path Topping also known as Cornish Grey is an attractive hardwearing silver/grey rock perfect for giving a contemporary look to your landscaping project. The product is particularly unique, with a mix of different shades, occasional dark chippings and the presence of speckles and stripes.The range of stone sizes that make up this path topping help it to leave a firmer finish than standard gravels. Silver Granite Path Topping is ideal for applications where a firmer surface is required whilst still providing a gravelly effect. Path Toppings should be placed in layers and rolled using a vibrating roller to create a firm surface. We recommend 50mm depth for footpaths and borders. Silver Granite Path Topping must be laid on a suitable free draining, compacted sub-base such as MOT Type 3 and it is essential that it is laid with a camber or crossfall to allow water to disperse. Poor drainage is the number one cause of surface failure. This product must not be laid when soaking wet or bone dry as compaction will be lost.
