How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Now take these figures and enter them into the quantity calculator to reveal the approximate quantity required for your job.
Remember:
1 metre is equivalent to 1000mm or 100cm
1 centimetre is equivalent to 10mm

Our 50-200mm** Cornish Slate Gabion Stone is one of the smaller of our gabion range and is more suited to gabion projects utilising 50mm mesh instead of standard 75mm, such as when constructing planters, fences, barbeques and also for narrow baskets. The product can be used with standard 75mm mesh but the larger stone will need to be handpicked and installed at the face of the basket to prevent smaller material falling through. The rustic colours are pale and subtle when dry, bright and striking when wet. The long, thin nature of this product allows for a much more compact fill of gabion baskets, with a nice flat basket face easily achievable. See Gabion Basket Installation Video
