How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Now take these figures and enter them into the quantity calculator to reveal the approximate quantity required for your job.
Remember:
1 metre is equivalent to 1000mm or 100cm
1 centimetre is equivalent to 10mm
Non-Woven Geotextile Membrane Consists of:
NW8 is a non-woven, thermally bonded geotextile for use as a drainage filter and separator in all types of civil engineering, building and landfill projects. NW8 is used below access roads (both temporary and permanent) to create a firm base on which to place the crushed stone foundation layer. NW8 is also used in construction of equestrian arenas as a seperator membrane between the sub-base layer and the riding surface to prevent blocking of the drainage system and to keep the surface seperate from the sub-base. The non-slip properties ensure that the surface grips the membrane resulting in maximum traction. NW8 is also used to line drainage trenches to prevent the fine soil particles from blocking the filter stone. This non-woven geotextile is a high performance filter that will allow all the water through whilst at the same time preventing the passage of soil particles. NW8 should not be used for weed prevention due to the porosity of the product. Please see specification here
