How to measure?
Take a metric tape measure and measure the length, width and depth of the area to be filled. The length and width measurements should be recorded in metres and the depth in millimetres. Now take these figures and enter them into the quantity calculator to reveal the approximate quantity required for your job.
Remember:
1 metre is equivalent to 1000mm or 100cm
1 centimetre is equivalent to 10mm
20mm All In Ballast Consists of:
20mm All In Ballast or Concreting Ballast as it is sometimes known, is a mixture of sand and gravel to create a coarse aggregate. 20mm Ballast is the standard aggregate for mixing concrete. 20mm Ballast is not suitable for drainage due to high fines content.
