Plastering Sand (also known as Plasterer’s Sand) is a high-quality, fine-grained material that has been thoroughly washed to remove impurities such as silt, salt, and clay. This cleansing process ensures a clean, consistent sand that contributes to a smooth, even finish in plastering applications, while also helping to minimise cracking and shrinkage during the drying process.

This sand is specifically engineered for both internal and external use in plastering and rendering tasks. Its fine, rounded grains—free of sharp edges—make it ideal for producing a uniform coat of mortar over interior walls and ceilings. The result is a durable, level surface suitable for subsequent decoration, including painting, tiling, or wallpapering.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Plastering Sand is not laid on it's own but is mixed with cement, lime and/or additives.

- Overly thick applications can lead to cracking or detachment unless built up in layers.

- Always follow BS EN 13914-1 (for external) and BS EN 13914-2 (for internal plastering) for best practice.
